Viva Aerobus is the leading ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) in Mexico and Latin America, with the lowest cost per seat and adjusted cost per available seat of any publicly-traded airline in the Americas, implementing a successful business model focused on operational simplicity and creation of value, which enables it to maximize profitability at a route level and ignite demand leveraging its ultra-low-cost structure and its unbundled service offering to provide the lowest base fares in the markets where it operates.

The Company targets the large Mexican market of price-sensitive leisure passengers and passengers visiting friends and relatives (“VFRs”), as well as business travelers from small and medium enterprises (“SMEs”), with a particular focus on travelers currently traveling by bus. Additionally, Viva Aerobus takes full advantage of its long-term strategic relationship with Grupo IAMSA, creating opportunities for travelers to substitute a long-distance bus travel to air travel.

Since its inception in 2006, Viva Aerobus expanded its fleet from 2 to 26 aircrafts that carried over 8 million passengers in 2017. The Company’s unique business strategy, coupling the deployment of a proven international ULCC business model with its long-term strategic relationship with Grupo IAMSA, and the solid economic and demographic fundamentals of the Mexican operating environment drives its profitability.
